Hinterland offers half day introductory, full and multi day kayaking tours on the tidal Sissiboo River and in St.Mary's Bay in southwestern Nova Scotia. Just 3.5 klm off of highway 1 in Weymouth, Nova Scotia we can launch right from the lawn or if the tide is not right then we start out on the Bay and paddle back to our base on the Sissbioo. We offer 5,7, and 10-day sailing expeditions for 14-18 year olds during the summer months. A Professional Enrichment Course is also available for adults. Come on a voyage with us and you will learn to sail, navigate, read the constellations, sleep outdoors, take command, explore the coast and uninhabited islands, make new friends and have an outrageous amount of fun. All trips leave from Lunenburg Harbour. Our office throughout the year is in Halifax. Take Highway #103 to Exit 11, Route 324 (Blockhouse) and drive straight until you get to Lunenburg. Head for the waterfront and Bluenose Drive. At the end of Bluenose Drive you will see the Dory Shop. To the right of the Dory Shop is Rockweed Gift Shop and the Sea School is located behind Rockweek. Go through the chain link gate and you should see a sign on the side of the building.
