Listing Procedures on The Outdoor Directory (updated February 5th, 2005)

 

Please note the following regarding listings on Outdoor Nova Scotia's, Outdoor Directory:

 

A.  With an 'Enhanced Listing' businesses, organizations, etc. can add a listing in any three categories on the Outdoor Directory, and can submit a different photo to each of their three listings. At least one photo must be added (you can use the same photo for all three listings at no extra charge). An 'Enhanced Listing' is $30 per year plus $10 per year for each different image added - i.e. one image $10 ($40 total), two images $20 ($50 total), three images $30 ($60 total). All images must meet minimum quality requirements. Clients will be invoiced for the service. B.  It should be noted that the above fees do not include 15% provincial HST (Harmonized Sales Tax). Outdoor Nova Scotia will now accept all major credit cards via Paypal.com; listing invoices will also be mailed by post to Canadian addresses and are due upon receipt. Invoices for customers outside of Canada will be billed in US funds (no sales tax) via PayPal.com only.

*Note: Payment via Paypal is a simple process with no associated fees. To become a member simply go to: paypal.com and fill out a membership form. If a customer is not a Paypal member at the time of billing, Paypal will forward membership sign-up procedures.

C.  Once listings have been submitted to the Outdoor Directory (go to 'add listing' and fill out the form three times, once for each category you choose) it is imperative that a billing address be forwarded immediately following the listing additions. If a billing address is not forwarded listing submissions will be automatically deleted from the database.

Your billing address should be e-mailed to: billing@outdoorns.com - as well as your address, your e-mail should include billing preference - invoice by post (for Canadian residents only) or Paypal (for Canadian residents and all customers outside Canada - refer to 'B' above).

Note: Our activity research indicates that the addition of photos to listings facilitates greater responses generally - in some instances, responses have increased by as much as 50% with the addition of a photo (or photos).

New Directory Coming Soon!

Outdoor Nova Scotia is in the process of completely re-designing the Outdoor Directory. The new Outdoor Directory (to be introduced in the spring of 2004) have offer both visitors and client members a whole new set of information options including more photos, directional maps, a new mini-page listing format (that client members will be able to access themselves), more categories, monthly features and a FREE classified ads section. Watch for it!!!

The Directory receives in excess of  137,000 hits* from over 9,571 outdoor enthusiasts worldwide every month (Urchin - July, 2002), and represents a highly targeted marketing opportunity for companies and individuals involved in outdoor activities in the province.
