With all that snow and those rolling hills, Cape Breton Island is a perfect location for cross-country skiing.

A telemark is a skiing term used to describe a turn made with one ski advanced and the knee bent. The turn is used to change direction or stop short. And at Ski-Tuonela Cross-Country Telemark you might perform more than just a physical rotation. You may indeed have a change of heart as well, and decide that winter in Nova Scotia is to be embraced and welcomed as much as summer!

Chris Law and his staff offer ski enthusiasts everything from afternoon excursions to overnight accommodation, complete with all the wood you can burn. After traveling their trails, which incidentally, are groomed to perfection, you and your family can cozy into a hillside chalet and doze by the fire. Just be prepared to ski hard, play safe and have fun.

Ski-Tuonela Cross-Country Telemark is located in Goose Cove, near the center of the Cape Breton snow belt. If you have an ear for humor, an eye for scenery, and the legs to take on trails that are, in Chris's words, "more fab than fab", these folks can give you everything you've dreamed of.
